YOU AT FIRST SIGHT

All beautiful stories start with a moment – a chance, an instance, a second. At the moment our bride passed by our groom’s field of vision, he knew she was the one. It was simply an unexplainable experience. He became friends with her twin sister first through an online social media messaging app. Then he saw her passed by and asked for her name. Interesting, right? He fell for her. It was not the eyes that saw her, but the soul which made him say:

“It’s actually a moment’s thing. Like we say for fantasy “Love at first sight”. It just happened in that moment. That moment itself i fixed my mind, if I’m gonna marry, she is the only one i wanted to get married with. After that when we started to chat, talk (to) each other, I sealed and locked my promise to myself which i already made before.

However, that moment was not yet the right time for them to be together; she was still in another relationship. It also came to a point that they had an intense fight which led them to block one another. But as our groom said, his mind was already fixed. Fast forward to many years after, he found her again through another social media app. Both were single and so without another moment’s hesitation, they decided to be in a relationship. Their long-distance relationship went on for two years.

It was in 2019 when they first met physically. Our bride described it as something like in the movies where everything just went slow-mo. They savored the one month they were together until he had to go back Dubai then eventually to India for good. To cut the long story short, it was in 2021 that our groom seized the moment to make her his wife.

This wedding was not only a celebration of their union as husband and wife but also a marriage of two different cultures and religions. The challenge for Hugbig Photography was to be able to tell the story of mutual respect, unconditional acceptance, and unfaltering love that transcended beyond all differences – be it culture, religion, time, or distance. It only took a moment but that moment was more than enough to find the one.
