"It is the time that you have spent on your rose that makes your rose so important” – The Little Prince

We’ve encountered this book back when we were high school but we’ve never put much significance or attention until we had this distinctive wedding. The book, seemingly made for children, holds so many salient truths that we often forget. One of them is the importance of presence. It must have been crucial for our couple to have everyone who is someone in their lives witness a momentous event.

Their wedding is a story of how they made time to make their loved-ones feel that their presence is highly valued. Thus, the reason why they had their vows told, not only once, but twice - one with an intimate circle of family and another one with a larger circle of friends and relatives!

They made time despite the pandemic, the restrictions, and a significant unforeseen event that happened in the family. They wanted to share their moment because the people around them-their family, friends, and relatives- are their “rose”; special and dear to them. This is their expression of love. They had to be there; they must be there!

“What is essential is invisible to the eye,” – this is life’s secret according to the Fox. With this wisdom, we were reminded that the most important things are not always seen by the eyes but are felt with the heart. So even if there were some valued guests that could not make it, the couple, in the deepest of their hearts, know that they are present, in spirit, to celebrate with them.
