This is a story of an unbelievably patient romance that truly stood the test of time, distance, and circumstance. When we said unbelievable – we meant being physically together for a month and parted for more than a decade. This is a story of how a long-distance relationship triumph over challenges and obstacles. As how our bride said in their wedding vows, “When conflicts come, know that I will always choose you.” And yes indeed, they kept on choosing one another over and over again until fate chose to unite them as husband and wife.

Just like the zombies in their favorite bonding game, we imagine instances when they would walk around in a zombie-mode due to the lack of sleep just to be able to communicate with one another. Our groom also would come home yearly in the Philippines just to see her despite having his whole family in New Zealand. Who could blame him? Look at the radiant smile of our bride – it literally spells out “I’m your home” to our groom. Even during the wedding day when it rained cats and dogs, even when she didn’t feel well that day, her smile lightened up the place. Just like how she said to our groom, “you light up my world”. They are each other’s true home; a home that assures, acknowledges, and loves above all.

“It’s been a long and difficult road, but thank God, we’re finally here” – the beautiful words uttered by our groom during their wedding vows. No more waiting; no more distance; no more longing. Finally, they are one and the days apart are no more.
